The International Tax Association in Poland has become a patron of the Economy, Tax & Crime conference organized by the Centre for Fiscal Studies at the Nicolaus Copernicus University, which will be held remotely on December 2-3, 2021.


The conference will focus on the changes in tax and criminal tax law resulting from the “Polish Deal”.
The organizers anticipate presentations by the authors of the said amendments:

  • Jan Sarnowski, Undersecretary of the State at the Ministry of Finance
  • Paweł Selera, Director of the Goods and Services Tax Department at the Ministry of Finance
  • Bartłomiej Kołodziej, Deputy Director of the Goods and Services Tax Department at the Ministry of Finance
  • Aleksander Łożykowski, Director of the Income Tax Department at the Ministry of Finance
  • Przemysław Szymczyk, Director of the Tax System Department at the Ministry of Finance
  • Hubert Godusławski, Deputy Director of the Tax System Department at the Ministry of Finance.

Analyses by well-known specialists in tax and criminal tax law will be an important element of the conference.

The White Collar and Corporate Crime team at DLA Piper will present measures introduced in the directive on the protection of whistleblowers and the status of its implementation in the Polish legal system.
